Dirty Matcha Latte
one of my daily obsession
Every night before bed, I start dreaming about my morning caffeine concoction. I’ve been everything from a black coffee purist to a flavor-packed latte enthusiast. I’ve rotated through whole milk, soy, almond—if it was the “it” drink of the moment over the past 15 years, I probably had a brief obsession with it.
Fast forward through thousands of stomachaches and a few minor panic attacks, and I’ve finally landed on what works for my body: a dirty matcha latte.
Now, you might be thinking, “Ew, gross.” And if you’re not a matcha lover, yeah—it probably sounds repulsive. But if you are a matcha girl? Give this a try. You just might be converted.
☕️ Dirty Matcha Latte (My Daily Obsession)
Ingredients:
½ tsp ceremonial grade matcha (I love this one Ceremonial Grade Matcha)
1 shot of blonde espresso (2 if you're feeling it)
4–5 oz MALK Vanilla Almond Milk (or your milk of choice)
Organic vanilla coconut sugar (to taste)
Ceylon cinnamon (optional, but lovely)
Instructions:
In a mug or bowl, whisk ½ tsp matcha with 2 tablespoons of hot water until fully dissolved and frothy. (A handheld frother or bamboo whisk works great here.)
Add 1–2 shots of blonde espresso to the matcha mixture.
Froth 4–5 oz of almond milk until warm and creamy.
Pour the frothed milk into your matcha-espresso mixture. (Optional: Add a few extra ounces of hot water if you like a big latte to sip on—like I do!)
Sprinkle vanilla coconut sugar and a dash of cinnamon on top.
Sip. Enjoy. Thrive.
